Blatina Stjepan Ostojić

Stjepan Ostojic was our king. He ruled between 1418 and 1421, succeeding his father, King Stjepan Ostoj after his sudden death. So, our King Stjepan Ostojić at the beginning of XV. century ruled the Bosnian kingdom and parts of Serbia, the Primorje, the Humans (today’s Herzegovina), the West Side, the Lower Strips, Usora, Solius, Polimlja and Podrinje. Although his rule lasted for a short time, Stjepan Tvrtko II succeeded him in 1421. Its significance to us is enormous. He died 1421. and was buried at Bobovac in the mausoleum of the Bosnian kings. For the living Stjepan Ostojic ruled a mighty and powerful kingdom, and as one of a number of the famous Kotromanić dynasty, and especially as the successor to the great King Ostoja, he was awarded this superb blatina.
